Big Update

The last week or so has been busy but I am so excited to be able to now say the money for our homestudy is sent and the first bit of our Gladney application! This is huge because once we get the homestudy we can apply for a lot more help financially. God is so good and continues to encourage us regarding his provision and wisdom. My boys and I got our first stack of paperwork and our check and went to a UPS store to meet up with daddy and we two day air shipped all our stuff to Gladney. Did you know some UPS stores notorize? Comes in very handy for us. Paul also got his physical this week along with a few blood tests and I am next to do that. We also have a meeting with our doc this week to talk about our country and vaccinations, etc. Things are moving along steadily and I have a lot to do this week. Ethiopia has a rainy season in August and September (for those of you who don't yet know this about Ethiopia...) and so we have been encouraged to try and have all our paperwork done in the next two months, otherwise we wait until October to complete sending our dossier, waiting for our referral, etc. That just seems like such a long wait for my sweet girl! But we are trusting in God's wisdom and care as we think on the timing of all these things. We will try and aim to get it all in before the rainy season but ultimately know that whatever child it is the God has ordained for us will be ours in God's perfect timing.
