We are done with what I feel like is the last "big" thing of our paperwork phase. Our fingerprinting appointment went well and took all of 25 minutes in the building. We went to the wrong building first and then got a little lost but we found our way and were delighted that it was pretty quick from start to finish. They did all the prints electronically. Paul and I were able to have a nice lunch and coffee before grabbing the boys from his parents and heading back home. I am extremely blessed to be so supported by both of our families in the raising of our children as well as in each stage of this adoption. We love you moms and dads! We also recieved an email from Gladney on which the subject was "Congratulations!". It was basically informing us that we are officially approved by Gladney to adopt and are moving on to the next phase which is finishing up our dossier and then our referall!!!! Very exciting to even be thinking in those terms now - "referral". When we jumped into this we knew there was a long process to do paperwork so we have tried to keep our minds on that instead of feeding impatience by dwelling on the referral (though of course we think of it still) so it's very exciting to be able to get closer to putting our hearts and desires with a face, the face of our baby! I can't wait to see if we are given a boy or girl and what our timeline ends up being. A lot hangs on CIS approval and how long it takes for that. All the other loose ends with the dossier won't take much effort and then we don't know how long it could take to get our referral. We should be getting our two copies of the homestudy and our official approval certificate from Gladney in the mail anyday.

Wow, Miranda! I can't wait to hear what you and Paul will name him/her! I know that this August when we visit we will not be able to meet this new member to the family, but hope to meet them some time very soon after they are welcomed home! We will continue to pray for you in this process, I am glad the appointment when well seeing as it was postponed!
So, glad to hear all went well. They give horrible direction, Huh!
I am so glad things continue to progress for both of us at the same time, hoping this will allow us to travel together.
Let's get together soon.

Miranda,
I am so happy things are going so quickly for you guys. You are catching up to us so quickly. I pray we will be able to go together to get our precious babies. Things have been crazy here but I do want to get together this coming week if possible. Jerry is off this next week. I love your blog and your sweet heart for humility in the Lord. You are so precious! See you soon,
In His Timing & Care, love hugs & kisses to all!
